2nd Annual Opelika Artifact Show

2nd Annual Opelika Artifact Show – Aug 10, 2019
Don’t miss the annual Opelika Indian Artifact Show, Saturday, August 10th at the Village Event Center on 804 Columbus Pkwy. The show will be open from 8:00 to 3:00 pm, for only a $2.00 donation fee & kids under 12 are free. Kids welcome, plenty of parking, and onsite barbeque by Troubadour BBQ for lunch.
This is the 2nd show in Opelika, sponsored by Troy Futral, who has been collecting Native American artifacts for forty plus years. Mr Futral donates the proceeds from the show to four archaeological societies that they use for other events, scholarships, & things. Previously, he hosted the Dothan Artifact show for 17 years.
You will find artifacts such as pipes, pottery, spears, arrowheads, clothing, jewelry, and books at reasonable prices. There will also be educational displays that will be for display only. This is a family show. So be sure to bring the kids. There were about 200 tables at the show last year & we expect more than that this year. There will be a flint knapping demo, homemade cookies, cakes, and brownies, T-shirts, jewelry making & a large raffle to raise money to help pay for the show expenses.
For more information, please visit www.futralshow.com . There are photos of past shows, hotel information, and directions on the website. There is also a list of upcoming shows for Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, North & South Carolina. And while at the show, if you have any questions, look for someone in a “Futral Artifact Show staff” T-shirt. We hope to see you there!
